Purchasing the standard shock service by AVID is a great way to maintain exceptional performance of your shocks without spending a lot of money.
This sevice was created specifically for customers whose shocks are new or have had their shocks rebuilt recently. Each standard shock service includes all of the following.
- Complete shock overhaul. Every internal part of the shock is taken out, inspected, and thoroughly cleaned using mild detergents.
- Replacement of necessary components and seals. During the overhaul, if the technician finds any worn parts or seals that will directly hinder the function of the shock, they will be replaced.
- Shock reassembly. When all seals and parts are determined to be in good condition, the shock is then reassembled, with care taken to ensure perfect contact between the seals and the sealing surfaces.
- Fluid fill. The shock is now ready for fresh fully synthetic suspension fluid.
- Nitrogen recharge. Once the shock is reassembled it is recharged with pure Nitrogen.
