| Purchasing the Complete Shock Rebuild service by AVID is an excellent way to maintain optimal performance of your shocks. This sevice was created specifically for customers whose shocks have taken a beating! This service is also ideal if your shocks haven't been serviced in more than two years or 2,000 miles. Each Complete Shock Rebuild service includes all of the following.
- Complete shock overhaul. Every internal part of the shock is taken out, inspected, and thoroughly cleaned using mild detergents.
- Thorough inspection of each part. After the disassembly of the shock, the technician will analyze each part of the shock. From ensuring that the shafts are perfectly straight to making sure the Internal Floating Piston didn't scuff the shock-body walls.
- Replacement of every seal in the shock. During the overhaul, the technician will remove every seal in the shock and replace it with new Tech-Syn Blue Seals.
- Shock reassembly. When every seal is replaced and all parts are determined to be in good condition, the shock is then reassembled, with care taken to ensure perfect contact between the seals and the sealing surfaces
- Fluid fill. The shock is now ready for the last stages of the rebuild, and will be filled with fresh Amsoil Shock Therapy suspension fluid.
- Nitrogen recharge. Finally the shock is ready to be recharged with pure nitrogen .
